The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) will hold the third Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum (RIHF) in Riyadh on February 20 and 21.

The event will be held under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and in partnership with the United Nations and its humanitarian organizations.

RIHF aims to keep pace with the latest developments related to humanitarian and relief action and develop practical and effective measures that take into account the changing needs on the ground.

The two-day event provides an ideal platform that brings together specialists and senior decision-makers from the international humanitarian community, where high-level representatives of international and local bodies and institutions take part in it.

RIHF scientific sessions and accompanying events will discuss several important topics related to the development of humanitarian needs and ways to respond to them, data collection and analysis to support humanitarian action, proactive action and strengthening resilience in local communities, and methods of achieving sustainable development goals.

It will also discuss harnessing technology and digital transformation to serve humanitarian action, present the most prominent opportunities and challenges to develop innovative, sustainable, and effective solutions for humanitarian response, and encourage and engage youth in volunteer work and contributing in the field.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned on Sunday the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure in Port Sudan and Kassala in Sudan, describing it as a threat to regional stability as well as to Arab and African national security.
The Kingdom called for an immediate end to the war in Sudan and urged all parties to spare the country and its people further suffering and destruction.

It also reiterated its stance that resolving the crisis requires a Sudanese-led political solution that respects Sudan’s sovereignty and unity, while supporting the country’s state institutions.
The ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's rejection of these violations, stressing the urgent need to protect civilians and ensure the implementation of the Jeddah Declaration (Commitment to Protect Civilians in Sudan), signed on May 11, 2023.
